Introduction

Today is day one of my new blog, I certainly do hope you find it entertaining. The primary focus of this blog will be to discuss the seemingly ever expanding cultural revolution that has transformed America into a country obsessed with consumption in excess. In the interest of transparency I feel obligated to let it be known that I am not one to criticize this transition from frugality to rampant consumption, as a matter of fact this blog will in many ways chronicle my embracement of the changing times. Also I believe it is important to clarify the name of my blog. To those who know me best, the Degenerate Days name will surely bring a chuckle as we joke about being degenerates on a regular basis. The name comes from an overall lack of concern in life. Quite simply we live our lives doing as we please without regard for what others think. That is not at all to say that we are social radicals or flagrant criminals, as a matter of fact I tend to be quite politicaly conservative. I respect success above all else in life, especially those who have become hugely successful in uncoventional ways. I strongly believe that with a little ingenuity and a strong work ethic anyone can achieve success but that is not the focus here. Here we will focus on degenerate success stories and the lifestyles of the rich and degenerate.
